Come and share in some unforgettable moments at our festivals. We country folk know how to have a good time!
Each year, on the last Saturday in May, the town of Arvieu, near the Lac de Pareloup, hosts the "Mac d’Oc" festival.
Fernand and Odette look forward to welcoming you for an evening of music and hearty fare.
The tried and tested formula in Arvieu is one stage, several concerts, and a meal consisting of of local produce. Food-wise, you will find a bar and tables decked out with local specialities (tripous, aligot, Aveyron veal, stuffed cabbage, La Marmotte beer, Pastis des Homs, etc.), to promote the culinary riches of our region. On the music side, four high-quality regionally or nationally famous groups will perform to get everyone in a party mood and introduce a non-local element, which just goes to show that defending local customs and being open to others are not mutually exclusive... In Arvieu, the last Saturday in May is not just any old Saturday!
In Arvieu, a village of a little over 900 inhabitants a few kilometres from the Lac de Pareloup, the first weekend in August is party time. The highlight of this three-day outdoor festival is the Saturday: around twenty groups take turns to perform on the five stages dotted around the village, there are five themed bars to quench the crowds' thirst, and more than a thousand people can be found wandering happily through the streets.
For this event, we head back inside, but summer clothing is the order of the day, because inside, it's the height of summer! Palm trees, grass huts, each with a different theme, mint tea, North African cuisine and sunny musical acts…
On the day before Ascension Thursday (forty days after Easter Sunday), the village of Ségur holds its very own night of concerts, with four groups providing the music.
